Fig Tree Camp - is located on the banks of the Talek River and offers both luxury tents and chalet accommodation.. The Camp is situated on the northern border of the game reserve and its central location makes all areas of the park accessible during game drives. It has 38 Safari Tents overlooking the Talek River, each with a double and single bed, 22 Garden Chalets with double and single beds and 10 Superior Ngamboli Tents. When we stayed on our evening game drive just along the far bank of the Talek river we spotted 2 lions lying in the yellow-leafed croton bushes (their favourite as they give off a natural insect repellent). It is part of the Mada hotel chain (like Kilima in Amboseli) and both have the most comfortable beds and especially pillows - they were SO soft - really good nights sleep!
